Team Manager Nigel Page reports:

"The scenery and mountains in Leogang are spectacular and huge and the race was closer than ever. The track is quite straightforward with some fast steep corners up on the top section into a new section for this year with a tricky manmade rock section and a tricky off-camber section through a few tunnels and into the first wooded section of the track. Once through this it was high speed over some big jumps and hard on the pedals into the two big wall ride berms and into the steeper wooded section of the track to the finish area where you drop in to a very high-speed finish with one last big booter jump and across the line.

We had another good result, not quite as good as last week in Fort William but still a solid race.

Sam Hill (above) finished 10th and less than a second off the podium. According to Sam he rode a bit too tight at the top, but was super-quick on the steeper lower part of the track to make up time.

The times were super-close on this high speed track with only 2.9 seconds separating the top 10, which made for another super exciting finish!

Sam Hill stays in the top five in the overall rankings with the points being one of the closest they've been in many years.

We now have a bit of a break before we head over to Canada for the next round of the World Cup, so it's time for a bit of a rest, some training and regrouping to hopefully improve in the next three rounds.
